Karl Marper persistently interrupted a judge with abusive comments as he was sentenced for breaching the terms of his sexual harm prevention order (SHPO).
The 55-year-old shouted out comments and pulled faces throughout the hearing at Teesside Crown Court.
Kathryn Wetherley, prosecuting, said Marper was arrested when police carried out a routine visit to the hotel where he was living and discovered a hidden tablet device.
She said a search of the gadget revealed a number of search terms associated with child sex abuse images but none were found on the tablet.
The court heard how the defendant was jailed at Reading Crown Court in 2017 and made subject to a sexual harm prevention order
A further indefinite SHPO was made in Oxford in 2020 after he repeatedly breached the terms of the order before moving to the North East after his release from custody.
Marper, of Grange Road, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to breaching his SHPO on March 3 this year.
The defendant’s video link from prison was muted after he continually shouted obscenities throughout the hearing before telling the judge to ‘just f get on with it’.
Andrew Turton, representing the defendant, said there was limited mitigating he could put forward on behalf of his client other than he pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity.
Judge Richard Bennett locked up Marper for two years and four months as he branded him a dangerous offender with a ‘dreadful record’.
He said: “For the last two decades who have had a sexual interest in young children and you are willing to breach any number of orders put in place to protect the public from your depravity.
“You have an entrenched sexual interest in images of the abuse of children.”
