A 60-year-old male paedophile who says he identifies as a five-year-old-girl appeared in court dressed as a Christmas elf, as he admitted breaching a sexual harm prevention order.
Creepy Janiel Verainer wore a red and green Christmas outfit, a cardigan with a Santa Claus badge and a red and green elf-like cap for the occasion at Maidstone Crown Court.
The sex offender walked into court with a ‘helper’ as bells jangled from his outrageous costume and was addressed as a female throughout the 15-minute hearing.
Verainer sucked his thumb as the case went on and was allowed to sit in the public gallery rather than the dock in a shock move.
Judge Phillip St-John Stevens heard the paedophile from Chatham in Kent, approached girls between 18 December 2019 and 31 January this year and kissed them on the lips while banned from contacting children.
He admitted being in breach of an order imposed at Canterbury Crown Court in November 2016 – which meant he had to stay away from children.
At an earlier hearing, he had his hair up in pigtails and sucked a dummy as he denied the charges.
Three other charges of failing to comply with the order were dropped by prosecutors
His sentencing was adjourned until 25 February for a probation report to be prepared.
A psychiatric report has already been done.
In November 2016 Verainer was jailed for 15 months for kissing and molesting a young girl outside a café in Thanet and banned from contacting children.
